Metal Medicine Cabinet

I went to the bank on my lunch 1/2 hour, and I saw a yard sale sign. Hum, it's noon and all the good stuff would be gone. I go to the bank and decide to stop at the sale on my way back to school. I found the cutest metal medicine cabinet! This would be very cute in a camper! Then I spot an old wood tool box. This is when I start my happy dance. The little gal that was taking money asked if I wanted to bundle them with an offer. Heck yes- I've been watching American Pickers, I know how this works! (Plus, these were nice people that I know.) This was the best lunch 1/2 hour I've had in a long time! My picture isn't very good, but you'll get the idea. photo image-499.jpg

Canvas Pillow

I had a little bit of time and a little bit of canvas fabric and so I made a little pillow that has the saying,"I love you to the moon and back". I used a Sharpie fabric marker to draw and write the saying on the canvas. I really like the pens, but they use a lot of ink and they are not cheap. I saw that Sharpie has a new white marker but I haven't been able to find one yet. I am a very big Sharpie fan! photo image-1365.jpg

2014 Calendar

I have to share the calendar that my son made me for Christmas! He made each month with drawings of characters he grew up with. He drew pictures of family members on their birthday. It was the best gift a mom could have, especially because he works and he really doesn't have time to do all of that. That's why I love him!! Plus he made me business blog cards! Am I lucky or what?! photo image-1062.jpg photo image-2307.jpg

Silver Spoon Necklaces

I asked my husband if he could cut the handles off some silver spoons, and sure enough, he did! I made 2 necklaces out of them using my medal stamps. One has my Sister's on the Fly number, and the other one is a private joke. This project was a fun way to end my Christmas vacation. This month I will be busy getting ready for our school art show. We're doing some creative projects and I will post some pictures. photo image-892.jpg

1924 Crazy Quilt

When I went to visit my sister in Wyoming, there was a crazy quilt at the end of the bed, and of course I fell in love with it. When I got ready to leave, she gave me the quilt. Yes, I know how lucky I am! Anyway, I took it out this week to work on some of the very worn spots. I took some old crazy pieces I had, added a bit of antique lace, and started to repair the quilt. It will be beautiful in my cabin, when I save enough money to buy a cabin! photo image-816.jpg photo image-2199.jpg photo image-1704.jpg
