Snippet Belt

I started to make a snippet roll and then saw a belt using the same technique, and ta-da, a belt it is! I am going to use the same technique to embellish a page on a fabric journal. This would also make cute bracelets. Hmmm..or embellishment on flip flops. Oh, how about the trim for a dish towel? photo image-179.jpg

What's For Dinner?

I bought these cow towels for my kitchen. I added the ruffle on the top one to dress it up a little bit. Then I found the wood cow. It had a goofy saying on it, so I sanded it off, and sprayed it with chalk paint. I can write a menu or saying on it. photo image-178.jpg

Bulletin Board

I started to make a pillowcase today, and midway through it I decided it would be much more useful if I used the materials on a bulletin board for my classroom. I can hang it by my door and it will be useful and pretty! photo image-176.jpg photo image-177.jpg

Home

Sometimes I dream about having a cabin in the woods. A simple place filled with the quilts I have made, the cherished possessions we have collected. A little place for a garden and long walks in the woods. If that never happens, I wouldn't really care, because I have a home that is filled with love, memories and happiness. A place where I feel safe and secure. Our home took hard work to build, most of our income for many years and a lot of faith. It is quiet, peaceful and beautiful. We sit outside and share our dreams. Our family ties are here. How lucky am I?! I have everything I need in my life and I am so grateful. photo 003-11.jpg

Metal Mop Bucket

I saw a metal mop bucket with flowers in it in a magazine called Recycled Style by Matthew Mead. I just loved it! Long story short, my husband and I went out to lunch and then to a new antique store in town, and guess what was there? You are so smart! Yes, a little antique metal mop bucket. It didn't have rollers, and my husband told me he could put some on the bucket for me, and he did. What a guy!! How cute is this?! The magazine article also suggested using the bucket to hold cold drinks. Doesn't that sound so much more fun than using it to mop the floor? photo image-172.jpg
