Needlepoint Lampshade

A friend gave me some pieces of needlework. I sewed them onto a lampshade and added some tiny buttons. Sew pretty!

Wood Chair Up-do!

This chair has great bones, but needed a little TLC. I cleaned it up and made a new seat pad out of antique quilt pieces.

Woven Paintbrush Holder

My students were weaving and so I decided I would weave as well. When I was done with my piece a tied it around a recycled can and now use it to store paintbrushes in.

Quilted Desk Chair

We have the nicest Reading Teacher at our school! She is always baking cookies, teaching kids and doing nice things for everyone at school. She brings me beautiful old linens and sewing things. Today I decided to surprise her by recovering a desk chair for her. I found some pretty quilted fabrics and some funky trim, and I redid this chair. Her delight when I gave it to her was so welcoming! Before: After:

Cowgirl Tray

Rolling Pin Hanger

I saw the saying, "I love you Like Biscuits and Gravy", and I had to paint it on something. What could be better than a rolling pin?! Attached are some hooks to hang cups or kitchen utensils.
